One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The staff treats you like locals or family. We visited from abroad and stayed nearby, we walked in a couple hours before close and shared a limoncello shot with our waiter at close, even though we were worried about keeping them late they made us feel welcome to stay and chat. We went back the next night as we had a long outing and our waiter surprised us with a special appetizer as well big smiles and lots of love. We had lasagna, squid ink fettuccini, risotto, raviolis, profiteroles, pannacotta and a tiramisu. All of it was incredible. The mushroom risotto in particular was a stand out and would make me become a vegetarian if I could have it everyday. On our final night a big party was celebrating there and we all shared in laughs and party poppers - we will miss our friends here and be back in the future. Truly a phenomenal staff and menu. Food is ok. Service is awful! We ordered the food and told the waitress that we would share it. She brought the food with no additional plates. Later on, another waiter came to our table and asked, in a rude way, why didn’t we ask for additional plates. Additionally, the plates weren’t served at the same time, maybe because the pizzaiolo was busy with his cellphone. Beverages took so long for being served. We were at Pulcinella for the second time today. The service was very stressful but still polite. There wasn't everything on the menu because the kitchen couldn't keep up. The pizzas were burning in the pizza oven and the smell of burning was so strong that our eyes and other guests' eyes really hurt and watered. The pizza was average and my tuna was good quality but fried to death (more like shoe sole). My request for a side dish didn't work out either, but the service visibly struggled with the overwhelming demands but always remained attentive and polite. In the end, the bill for the two of us was well over 100 euros and no card payment was allowed without prior notice. Not everyone has that much cash with them, how else would they have solved it? Despite the mediocre cuisine, it's worth remembering that the service always remained polite, even under stress. Unfortunately, service is only part of a good restaurant experience. At the end there was an apology, but even the coffee was charged. Well, rather high prices for mediocre food and polite service and an unacceptable ambience (stress and smoke everywhere), then probably not again. A pity! Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
