If I could give 0 stars I would. This place has left me such a sour note. We came in for the Santa Sleigh ride that happens every year at Christmas time. This was the only location that we couldn’t wait to leave. We came in as 4, you seated us with strangers and charged us automatic gratuity without telling us. Shame on you, even after 2/4 of us paid and tipped on top. You need to tell patrons before hand. That is wrong. I was also shocked when all I had was a “ Christmas shot “ and a margarita which came to a whopping 40$. We were at the fairmont hotel in Vancouver? Word spreads like wild fire and I have let everyone know about this. Your food is also overpriced and not authentic. As a chef, it’s not good. The wife of the establishment came across as super defensive and rude. I will never go back here and I’m so angry that my hard earned money was wasted. Shame on you! Yesterday was our first time at Primos Mexican Grill, we heard good things therefore wanted to give it a try. The atmosphere was nice, decor was beautiful and the service was good. Although, I'm disappointed to say that my meal was far from appetizing. I ordered the Jumbo Prawn Meal for $26 and there was nothing "Jumbo" about them. They were extremely dry and cold with partial warm spots, it was hard to stomach to be honest but we hadn't eaten all day so this was our only option. The meal did come with rice which had good flavour, unfortunately that too was on the cooler side temperature wise which was another disappointment. The only thing that I can say was good about the meal was the salad, the dressing was absolutely delicious but it did feel for what it was worth, that the salad was the main course as there was more of it than anything else on the plate. Needless to say, even though my first time wasn't as great as what I had expected I would still give them another try because you can't always judge a restaurant by just one bad food experience. I can look past it and hope that the second time will be better and the table we sit at won't be as sticky as ours was - it actually tore skin off of my elbow which I have never had happen before.
