I tried to rectify this entry multiple times. Yelp is stubborn and very deef. It refuses to fix what's obviously very wrong. Hence ... this place is not on "Corso Libertà 117" but on "Corso della Libertà 117" which is the actual and grammatically correct name (you can't use two nouns side by side without an articulate preposition). We ate dinner at the Restaurant Post Gries on the 23rd of May, not specifically because we wanted but because, after searching for some places that offered local food, we could not come up with anything that was either open or seemed decent and traditional. We drove for a while in the messy and unorganized streets of Bolzano/Bozen and eventually decided to turn around. This is how we ended up here. We were staying at the annexed Hotel Post Gries and the restaurant was our last hope to get food before it would bee too late. We walked into the establishment from the hotel side (not the front but the side which is on the left if you look at the hotel façade) and we were promptly seated. I was against the wall in a dining room on a squeaky wooden bench. I chose to try a German lager beer called Ustersbacher and a Wiener schnitzel of veal fried in a pan with cranberry jam with a side of (boiled) vegetables. The beer was good, crisp and not bitter. The schnitzel was enormous which was great. The breading was good but the veal was alright. The vegetables were fairly plain: carrots, spinach, white asparagus, zucchini was what I received. They were literally boiled. There was no salt so they tasted very plain. All in all dinner was heh. I ate but it was not a memorable dinner.
