Super expensive. Cheapest wine bottle was $24 and their average bottle was in the $40 range. The salespeople were fairly pushy. I also think they price gouge based on where they are located there is a lot of traffic. There are restaurants that sell bottles of wine cheaper than this store, I would recommend starting there.

Wonderful shop for food gifts to take home. Lots of choices and the staff was beyond helpful and friendly. Yes there was a bit of up-selling but that's how they make their business grow and the suggestions were actually good and introduced us to their products. Easy access and convenient in the area of the Duomo.

Enoteca del Duomo is basically a food shop specifically for those who enjoy everything Italian in foods. The array of offerings are from all over Italy, rather complete, but also with regional specialties not found elsewhere. Enoteca del Duomo is the main shop which is combined with a restaurant that I found to be rather sandwich oriented. Surprisingly they usually have seating without waiting, the sandwiches which I had, prosciutto with cheese and roasted tomato were very good as was the service, Beside Enoteca del Duomo itself there are varying other shops, all of which offer shipping. On that count, if you are planning to take or have items shipped back to the United States, US Customs prohibits and will confiscate any meat products no matter how they are packed. So, if they catch you or if you are honest when questioned, you going to lose any of those wonderfully coveted salamis, prosciuttos or sausages you've purchased.
