We have a habit of stumbling across places with that special something, and this tiny pizzeria tucked away without even a name sign was a real find. The food is made by Samuela who truly believes that if the food is good, the reputation will bring people in. The pizza (by the slice or cooked to order) had a crisp bottom layer to the base and was light and moist with a fresh tomato taste. Simple and absolutely delicious! Also on the menu are snacks such as suppli, which is a croquete of risotto rice bound by tomato with a melting middle of creamy mozzarella. This is apparently more often found in Rome, hence the name Pizzeria Romana! Chilled drinks and a clean washroom make this a great stopping place if you are walking around Perugia and if you take the time to chat to the staff you will get a warm welcome.
