Friday 02 February 2024. Family evening, there are 5 of us, I decide to order pizzas for home delivery in this place. To be on the safe side, as it is Friday and I don't want to mess up the staff by calling at the last minute like too many do, I call around 1pm and am called back shortly after. I send the order, specifying that delivery must be made at 7.30pm. At 7.20pm our guests arrive right on time, at 7.37pm we still don't see anyone. I call the pizzeria and am told that the delivery man has already left. At 7.45pm no one had yet arrived (we live only 2.6 km from the pizzeria), finally the deliveryman arrived a few minutes later. We kindly pointed out to him that the pizzas arrived more than 15 minutes late, and out of a total of 68 Euros (of which 4 just for delivery...!) I ask him for a discount, certainly not for stupidity or because we lack the money, but because it seems right and sacrosanct to me. He rudely tells me that it's 68 Euros and that he can't do anything about it, I'm a person who doesn't like arguments and by having guests I didn't want anyone to feel embarrassed. I pay the 68 Euros, despite myself, knowing that it was the first and also the last time I would go to Pizzalonga in Pordenone. Do you think this is the end of the matter? Absolutely not. After the delivery man leaves, without even saying goodbye and leaving in a hurry, I call the pizzeria to complain about what happened, about the big delay (pizza, as we know, cools down very quickly and ours had arrived barely lukewarm). , and the treatment given to us by the deliveryman. The girl on the phone understands the situation and apologizes. While we are eating the pizza, I receive a call on my personal cell phone: it is the deliveryman of the pizzeria, who, after learning of my telephone complaints, had the nerve to call me to express his complaints and justifications to us customers. I have made many home orders in my life, and something like this has never happened to me. In an instant the role play was reversed; you understood correctly, I repeat, it is the delivery man who was complaining to us customers. The delivery man, who among other things is an employee and not the owner of the company, took the liberty of saying that the pizzas had arrived hot (it's a shame that he didn't taste them), did not admit his responsibilities in the slightest and had even the courage to raise our voices saying that if we wanted we could refuse the delivery. Easy to say, after demanding the full amount and skipping away, right? Congratulations and applause! My dear, if you read this review, remember that a responsible person in your place would have immediately apologized and would have called the pizzeria on his own initiative asking for authorization to give at least a big discount, out of respect and education towards those who, as customers, they allow your premises to exist. Food delivery is a luxury, an extra, it is not and will never be a necessity, and if a person is not able to provide a real service to the customer it is better to change jobs immediately, because there are places that offer delivery to there are tons of them around, and no one, for this very reason, can afford to behave in an unworthy way like you did. The owner, obviously a more intelligent person than the delivery man, never called me back, probably aware of the fact that "the patch would have been worse than the hole". On the receipt I post, it is clear that the printout was made at 7.15pm (therefore it makes me doubt whether the pizzas were ready at that time already!), while the established delivery time was entered in pen (7pm: 30). Any other consideration seems completely superfluous to me. I only give one star because zero is not possible.
