Picture the scene - a margarita pizza has already been ordered, and if that isn't already exciting enough then brace yourself for this next development - I'm not ashamed to admit I got a little carried away and decided to add some fries to my order. Absolute scenes! But the action is only just getting started.
Having already paid for the pizza, the server presented me with another bill for the fries. Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw on that bill - surely the most incendiary piece of ink committed to paper since Mein Kampf. Ladies and gentleman, Herren und Frau, the price for said portion of fries was €6.50! Would I accept the fries and pay the price? Following an unbearably tense standoff for the ages, the moment when I ultimately cancelled the order must surely have sent shockwaves through the whole of Germany.
Still, it's fair to say the margarita pizza was wonderbra. A true delight. Come for the pizza, stay for the thrills and spills.
