Was here for a late lunch last weekend and it was EXCELLENT! I used to come here all the time pre-covid and after the fire/reno, this was only my 2nd since I don’t live nearby but as per memory, it was STILL DELICIOUS and the service was as great as always. I didn’t get her name but the ahjumma who served us was super nice and helpful and gave us a soup on the house even tho we didn’t get a set bbq meal. THEY HAVE CAST IRON LID BBQ!!!! If you’ve ever wanted to try, try it here. It was so delicious and the highlight of our meal. The meal quality is great. We got the tteokbokki and corn cheese sides and they were really tasty especially the tteokbokki because you cook the tray on the grill too and so the bottom pieces kinda caramelized and were chewier by the end of the meal. I may not live near but will definitely make it a point to come by more often!! PIGGY’S ISLAND is the OG GOAT and while another chain bbq place has loads more options, Piggy’s really is the best. Was excited to come back to the restaurant after its closure but was met with wild disappointment. Didn’t even get through the ordering process because they have SO many rules on ordering. After going back and forth on what we want, we ended up walking out because the manager simply did not let us order the meat and quantity we want, and their explanation was that they don’t want to wash and clean the different kinds of grill used for the different types of meat. I thought it was a joke because I have never come across any restaurants that simply don’t let me eat what I want to eat lol it was a wild experience and I will never come back with my friends. To think I wanted to celebrate my birthday with your restaurant, boy what a joke that was!
