The place was spacious and quiet.  I gave it 2 stars for prompt service and it seems clean.  Food however were small portion and more expensive comparable to other Pho places I've been to.  Food taste fine as most vermicelli place would taste, but what's with the steep prices?  Almost $13 for a bowl of Pho??

Great food and service. Clean, friendly and fast. Great salad rolls with tons of gluten free options. I had the spicy Thai lemongrass soup. We also tried the mango shrimp, great portions. Try it!

Wow! Just "Wow!". As I have been a travelling salesman for a good number of years now, dining in restaurants is not an uncommon occurrence for me. At one point, I was probably having 50-60 meals a month in one restaurant or another. My favourite restaurant food is (you guessed it) Vietnamese! I happened to have my National Sales Manager with me on the evening of April 7th and we stopped at the Pho Rice Pot for some food at around 5:00. As he had not been feeling well, he ordered the soup with chicken. As I was planning to have dinner with my family, I only ordered the salad rolls. First of all, the rolls were priced @ $9.95 for (4) or $4.95 for (2). I thought that this was pretty pricey to begin with compared to other restaurants in the city. When the salad rolls arrived, and I kid you not, they were as long as my thumb and about the same diameter. We were not off to a good start! I picked up the first roll and thought that it felt odd. I proceeded to try to bite a piece off & the rice wrap was as tough as shoe leather. Seriously! I am a big, strong guy & it was all I could do to tear a piece off of this roll using my teeth and both hands. I called the woman who had served us over to complain about the quality of the food. I explained to her that the rice wrap had, obviously, dried out and was tough. I even showed her that I could not tear the wrap using two hands. She indignantly proclaimed that the rolls were fresh. I, in turn, tried to reason with her and indicated that I eat Vietnamese food 3 - 4 times a week at various restaurants all over Alberta and had never, in my life, been served something as bad as this. Again, she insisted that they were fresh and said that if she were to go into the kitchen to get another, it would be the same. I countered that there is no way in the world she could have the kitchen make a FRESH salad roll if the rice wrap was that dried out & tough. It would be like trying to make a roll out of heavy corrugated cardboard. Again, she stated that even the fresh roll would be the same. I saw that there was no hope of satisfaction from her and asked her to take the rolls back & toss them in the garbage. She insisted that there was nothing wrong with the rolls and suggested that I finish them. I countered; "How? I can't get my teeth through it and I can't even tear it apart with my hands!" She did not apologize. She made no offer of anything else to compensate for the poor food and walked back to the kitchen to (I hope) throw out the rolls. My companion & I decided that it was time to leave, At the checkout, the woman made no offer of a discount what so ever and still didn't apologize for the food. My advice; if you like good Vietnamese food, this is NOT the place to go! There are far, far better restaurants in the city such as Doan's, Fusion Wok, Golden Rice Bowl, Pagolac and many, many more. Do not waste your time & money in this establishment!!!
