Tous les invités adorent la fabuleuse cuisine portugaise à ce restaurant. Rien n'est mieux que de manger un poulet cuit à la perfection. Dans Pecado da Gula, les visiteurs peuvent goûter une glace bonne.
I bought a Groupon for a 3 course meal for 4 people.
The drinks, watered down OJ! The cappuccino tasted like water with a hint of coffee and lots of cinnamon, it was GROSS.
The starters- The salad, was absolutely disgusting!!! they had cooked pepper that were slimy in the salad! The livers- were okay, not great at all.
Mains- The steak was cooked fine, but extremely dry, the prawns were old and horribly made.
Dessert- The choc mousse, was actually cake batter, the brownie, tasted like a stale pick n pay cake, the ice cream and choc sauce, came with cake batter as choc sauce. We actually asked them if this really is cake batter, and the waiter could not answer that but said that a lot of people have complained about this.
NEVER AGAIN, Nothing at all was good with that experience.
We bought a Groupon for a three course meal for 4. The menu looked decent and we were looking for a new place to try, so we gave it a shot on a Saturday night. The location is not the best, and it is a converted house with an old, rustic feel. Probably would be great during the day, but felt dodgy at night. Still, we had hopes that the food would make up for the disappointing location and venue.
Complimentary snacks were some olives with bread. The olives were very good. The bread was not nice - usually you get hot crispy rolls, but this stuff was doughy and heavy.
For starters, we ordered prawn soup, peri peri chicken livers and green salad. The prawn soup was ok, and nice croutons. The chicken livers were not cooked well, tasting boiled, with a watery gravy. None of us liked it, and basically the 2 plates we ordered went back mostly uneaten. The salad did not appear freshly prepared and looked unappetizing.
Mains for the guys was steak and prawns with mash and pepper sauce and was decent. The ladies ordered fish and prawns, but didn't enjoy it at all.
We tried 4 different desserts, and again, none impressed. The best was probably the ice cream with chocolate sauce.
Overall, very uninspiring food - stuff I would expect from a B&B. Definitely not restaurant quality.
Had the fishcake starter, nice crust and the fish was tasty. The kids burger is great with bacon and fried egg. Tried the Bifana roll, better than I expected. My husband had the chicken espatada with sinful sauce, a must if you are a garlic lover. We will be back
