I started going to the Pavillon am Brill last year and I really liked the place. It was right next to Mamer's playground and we had the rare opportunity to enjoy our coffee or beer and our meal, by being able in the same time to watch over our kids, without having to run after them all the time. It is also a place of gathering of many families with children that go to the European School II nearby. The food is really good and an renovation last year added a pizza wood oven outside. What made me rate this place so poorly is the horrendous service, which gets worse day by day and from where should I start? That the waiters are simply rude and unprofessional? That they are running around like flies, without doing anything well(take orders, serve, serve correctly, serve on time, clean, get paid, being polite, having a smile)? That you can't easily order, let alone get served? That you are not allowed to order inside? That in big reservations, the waiters are incapable of writing down the order of more than 3 people at the same time? That you order 4 pizzas and drinks in the same time and only two pizzas come first, the next two half an hour later and after you have fought two times with the waiter and while pizzas fly around to the other tables that ordered later and last the drinks? That the pizzas arrive half burned? That one calls for a reservation and speaks with the owner directly who might not be there to write down the reservations? That no-one is behind the bar to serve the waiters, but they spend time to serve themselves, creating a cue inside the bar? That even if there is someone behind the bar is also a waiter in other shifts, without being a real bartender? That they make the cappuccino froth in a small wine bottle cooler instead of a Motta, by just moving it up and down the steamer? That you make a reservation for a kids party and 30 people one month in advance, ask for a specific area, only to arrive and see that area demolished and your tables moved and being the only ones without umbrellas in a 28°C sunny day, while any other customer who just happened to come by, can easily sit under the shadow? The list goes on and on and I am literally thinking to bring my own drinks in a cooler from now on and if this continues, to never sit again over there: there are many benches around, grass areas and in the worst case scenario, the hot dog stand, offers a relatively fast service...
