Wanting a date night, we were told about Pat and Betty by a friend. We entered the restaurant to a small but very lively atmosphere. Dining area to the left with upper level, bar and open kitchen to the right. We were seated at the bar and immediately greeted by a very friendly bar tender. We viewed the drink menu and chose a bottle of Chateau Haut Gravier. A very nice and smooth red wine. Next we started with the martini shrimp and wild mushrooms with sourdough bread. We were amazed with the flavors and so unique having the dry gin martini bottom the plate of shrimp and olives. For mains we chose the striploin and the pork belly and scallops. Striploin was perfectly grilled but the scallops and pork belly stole the show. So much flavor and perfectly cooked. We were stuffed but definitely had to try the house made carrot cake. WOW! Huge slice and a great treat to take home for later!! We loved the atmosphere, open kitchen concept and everything about our special date night!! We loved the food at this restaurant. We shared dishes among four of us, family style. Each dish had incredible flavor. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. The only concern was the acoustics. The restaurant is open, loud and with no sound dampening. If you want conversation of your meal, you might be disappointed.
