Tried to look in / go in to look, and there were many servers at the door. One of them began to say “ciao.” I’m in Rome for a layover and thought that meant goodbye, and also wasn’t looking at him but inside, so assumed he was saying goodbye to someone who wasn’t me. I then began to walk in and he stopped me and was furious, calling me so rude for not stopping when he was talking to me - guess he actually could speak English after all. I told him I just got here and don’t speak Italian, and also I’m hard of hearing anyway so I’m not sure why he’s making so many assumptions. He scoffed regardless and called me rude. Then tried to lie and claim he did say “hello” when he didn’t. The staff are psychopathic here evidently, at least to tourists. If it hurts them so much that some tourists might be here for less than a day and don’t know Italian, they should close their doors to tourists then. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We loved it in 2004, and I don't expect much has changed since then (hopefully). A great family business. Charming and attentive, intimate yet formal enough. Excellent food - I can still taste the truffle, when I think on it. We'll be back one day. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50–60
