We have been going to the Palazzo every year for eight years, the results have always been a bit inconsistent, but this year you could clearly see problems. There were eleven of us and we had booked the ring, the most expensive seats. At first we were forced to switch tables, only to find that the other group was the same size, with two chairs at the table, and we were sitting like chickens on the perch. You clearly feel that an attempt is being made to get the maximum number of seats, which directly leads to conflicts with the other tables, as you not only feel like you are sitting on top of each other, but also actually sit on top of each other. Ok, it can happen. The fact that we then regularly had to complain to the service was more than annoying. The lady felt like she was responsible for 3⁄4 of the tent and was more busy clearing up and delivering than taking orders, and that with a drink bill of €700. But the austerity measures continued, the gentlemen who delivered the drinks were so overwhelmed/unmotivated that they were either dumped at the neighboring table or somewhere, but not at the recipient. So tables had to cooperate to get something drinkable. By the way, never order a latte macchiato. Last year it was not possible to at least deliver it warm, as there was probably no warm milk available for it and cold milk was simply poured in. The main course was also cold, even though we always got the food first, but otherwise the food was good. The artists who were there were excellent, but the breaks were so long that the next table asked if that was normal; some people left at the last break. Either they simply didn't feel like waiting anymore or they probably thought it was over now. The whole thing was also stretched out with more singing, apparently singers are cheaper than artists. At least they were both fantastic singers. This year, after many years, there was at least an upward trend among dancers. Instead of simply charging €250 for management, the whole thing degenerates into a lukewarm broth and is not the experience you expect. Here we are clearly betting on the wrong horse, the one that is economical or profit-optimized. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
