The food were large portions that were easily shareable but some platters like the snack one were kind of a mix of random food that tasted a bit average. Luckily the unique dishes like the pasta and bulgolgi fries were super tasty. Had a fantastic late-night outing at Pocha 1989 in North York! Visited with a couple of friends around 11:00 PM on a Saturday, and despite the place being bustling, we were seated swiftly. The vibe of the bar was just right, adorned with cool foliage decorations on the ceiling and vibrant lighting that set a lively mood. The staff was notably attractive, attentive, and friendly, enhancing our experience. We indulged in some soju and their signature Korean fries, which were torched to perfection—giving them an exceptional flavor. Topped with a generous amount of cheese and bulgogi, these fries were a hit, although a tad pricey at $25. It’s worth noting that there’s a handy 10% discount on bills over $50 if you pay in cash. Overall, Pocha 1989 provided a great atmosphere with delicious food and drinks. Definitely a recommended spot for a night out with friends.
