The staff at Pastis Bistro was very friendly and attentive. In addition, the restaurant has a very nice ambience, to which the park-like garden that you can see from the restaurant makes a significant contribution. Many reviews correctly mention that the Pastis Bistro shares the kitchen with the 2-star restaurant "Louis". The Pastis Bistro represents the “glut” of “Louis”. As expected, the preparation of the dishes was generally at a high and visually appealing level. However, the starter "Burrata betterave and poire" was at refrigerator temperature when served and therefore could not fully develop its taste potential. On the other hand, the “Salade Pastis in house dressing” and the “Soupe au potimarron” as well as the “Poisson du jour” were convincing. The "Ragout de gibier aux champignon", on the other hand, could not fulfill its culinary promise and was found to be boring across the board. Those who ordered the "rack of lamb gratin" had it better: not only the rack of lamb with the herb crust, but also the side dishes, the potato gratin and the fried chicory, tasted excellent. The meal was rounded off with the “pineapple carpaccio and yoghurt”, the cheese platter and a selection from the in-house patisserie, all three of which were met with great approval. Perhaps - even if it is "just" bistro cuisine - one would like the chef's selection of dishes to be a little less "classic" and a little more courageous to try things out. After all, France is not very far away and there you can get exciting 4-course meals for half the price of Pastis Bistro. Despite all this, I would recommend Pastis Bistro at any time because of its location, its ambience, the very pleasant service and the solid cuisine.
