We spent a pleasant evening at the Osteria del Tortellino in Mirandola, immersed in the welcoming and familiar atmosphere of Emilian cuisine. The interior of the restaurant, while maintaining a modern touch, retains elements that recall the past, such as rolling pins and other equipment for the preparation of Emilian pasta and tortellini hanging in the various rooms. The staff were extremely courteous from the start, welcoming us with a glass of wine and a delicious appetizer of mortadella and parmesan cream. We then enjoyed two exceptional first courses: the meat tortellini in capon broth were truly exquisite, with a delicate pasta of the right consistency and a tasty but delicate filling, perfectly accompanied by a homemade broth. The ricotta and lemon tortelloni with ragù of Emilian cured meats and pecorino confirmed the high quality of the cuisine, with the excellent pasta blending perfectly with the delicate flavors of lemon and ricotta, enhanced by the strong ragù. However, to conclude the dinner, we had to wait a bit and ask the staff again to be able to taste a good millefeuille with Chantilly cream, probably due to a small mix-up in the order. In closing, we were treated to a taste of intrigue and some limoncello, both very tasty. Overall, I highly recommend this osteria to anyone who wants to taste authentic Emilian cuisine.
