For a quick bite, this is a decent spot. The overall atmosphere was okay, though the constant ringing of the serving bell when food was ready seemed to annoy the waitress. That said, she remained very friendly, quick, and helpful throughout. The food, however, was fairly basic, with no use of spices and a rather mediocre presentation. Luckily the Osteria Pio was open and the owner kindly invited us in. She translated the menu into English for us. Everything in and around the restaurant was piccobello. The interior was reminiscent of a mixture of American diner and cozy village pub. It was freshly cooked for us, the lady and the chef were highly motivated to conjure up a delicious meal on the table for us. And I have to say wow, the food was good. We loved it. The portions could have been a bit bigger, but we thought the quality was great. Small, clear map. Typical Italian cuisine - definitely recommended.
