Stopped in for lunch with a friend and had the place to ourselves. Staff was friendly and helpful. She suggested some lunch items that were not on the regular lunch menu which we did end up ordering. Food was very tasty, including the dressing on their side salad! Will definitely return again in the future. Family and I tried Osteria Povera for the first time yesterday for lunch. Everything about this restaurant is well thought out. Starting with the most important, the food. We shared the panzanella with burratta as well as some polpette on the side for our appy. The meatballs were so tender yet held their form - the picture is of me savouring the sauce. Then we had the Gnocchi e filetto alla parmigiana; the gnocchi were so light and fluffy and good my pescatarian wife even had some. We also had the orecchiette but in a white cream sauce because the house made special rose wasn’t ready yet. Regardless it was very good and I will go back to try it again in the proper sauce. All the sauces were so yummy, even though we were getting full, we had to order some focaccia to sop up the goodness. We finished with the tiramisu and didnt leave a scrap behind. Cocktails were great, the paper plane was refreshing and the negroni was smooth even with no ice (house preference). The Chianti was palate and pocket friendly. The service was attentive and friendly. We might have found a cheat code though. I don’t know if it was the day or the hour but we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The decor and atmosphere were on point. From the exterior to the interior it is a cozy spot and takes you to a different time. The mid-century modern design is beautiful from the wood panel walls through to the plate and glassware. Really nice finishing touches. I usually take more pictures of the food but I was so excited to dig in we didn’t get any. Needless to say we’ll be back. Grazie.
