We were in the restaurant with a large group of colleagues and tried the menu as part of restaurant week. We were very pleased. The goat cheese appetizer was beyond amazing! And the original combination of flavors (the deep-fried goat itself is understandable, the beet mousse is also more or less clear, but what else was unclear, and it’s wonderful! And it was very tasty!), and the presentation - everything is at the highest level! In general, I am very careful in choosing flavors and don’t eat “unfamiliar” things. In addition, because I cook a lot and in a variety of ways, it’s difficult to surprise me with the taste. But this was the case when the appetizer was top ten! I didn’t understand all the ingredients what they were. I remained intrigued. As for the hot dish, I chose monkfish, it was a four on a five-point scale. And here, perhaps, there are no questions for the cook, perhaps the product just turned out that way, but the fish was a little tough. But the sauces for the fish were absolutely delicious! And again I didn’t understand what they were made of. The dessert was something divine! The idea, the presentation, the execution, the flavors and their combination - one of the best desserts I have ever tasted in my life, and one that sticks in my memory. And it wasn’t just a delicious dessert, it was a dessert that you couldn’t cook at home. Most importantly, I enjoyed restaurant cooking - this is what distinguishes a good restaurant from good home cooking. Ostas Restorāns, your cook is the best in Riga! What else can I add about the food... The wine is excellent. I ordered without a wine list, so I can’t say how wide the choice is. The sauvignon was great. And it was French, not New Zealand. The espresso is excellent. Let me also add that the service was excellent! We were served by a young man - everything was great! The service is unobtrusive, very polite and understanding - the way it should be. Here's a girl coming up to us - without emotion. We probably annoyed her. In general, I had a very pleasant and positive impression of the visit. The case when the price and quality match and you really get pleasure for the money spent.
