This is probably the most sus path I've had to take to get to a restaurant, but it was well worth it. Food was great, prices seem high but portion sizes are massive so fair enough. The restaurant itself feels comfortable so it's a nice oasis from the very dilapidated surroundings. The same man who cooked our food also brought it out to us and served us, he was very kind and attentive. Would recommend. Honestly this place was an oasis of delicious food and fantastic service and made our stop in Brockville total magic. The chef chatted with us, gave delicious recommendations and made us feel totally at home. The hospitality was beautiful. I couldn’t decide what to get and went with the jerk chicken (smokey, rich flavour) while also trying the stewed pork and curry goat (the stewed meat was that perfect texture where it just gently pulls apart). We brought home leftovers and they were just as lovely the next day. And I saved the best for last: the Chef makes him own hot sauce and it’s very nice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place is literally a hidden gem! We were craving jerk chicken and found this spot. It's hidden inside an abandoned indoor playground, which itself is in an abandoned plaza. You'd definitely get lost without Google Maps. The Jerk Chicken was incredible - well-marinated and grilled perfectly. The outside was well-churned and crispy, while the inside was tender and juicy, with a hint of sweetness that was just right. The Oxtail was also amazing. The meat could practically fall off the bone. It also had a sweet flavour, and the sauce paired perfectly with the rice. Both the yellow rice and pea rice were flavourful, and the festival was yum too. The store owner was extremely friendly, patiently explaining each dish, providing extra plates, and checking in on us to ensure we had a great experience. Super nice guy. The ambience was nice too. Jamaican decor and music created a laid-back vibe that had us feeling like we'd been transported to the islands. Highly recommend this spot.
