The pizza was Delicious! But... the attitude of the manager was unacceptable and very disrespectful. His service and attitude towards us (Group of 12 consisting mostly of women) was terrible! There was a problem and we asked for help from him and his reply was, "it is basic physics" but when we, with no help, tried to fix it, and it worked. So, with that said, he has no basic respect and ruined our night with his stinky attitude. He does not know how to talk respectfully to clients. If a manager of my business would talk to clients like he did, I would fire him on the spot and I would be ashamed for his actions.

We were on the Wine Tram trip, and this was our last stop. I was told this was Franshhoeck Cellars, but actually it is the Old Road Wine Co. Staff did not care when we walked in / not very welcoming. We weren't allowed to sit out in the open with food (why???). The offers listed on the Wine Tram Trip brochure were being offered ONLY in some backside corner. I was very confused why, considering there was NO one else at 4pm when we got there. We ordered a Rose of the menu, which was very very ordinary. You are much better off at the other wineries around. I would have given this place a 1 star had it not been for the out door chess. I do not recommend this place, even if you are on the Wine Tram ride - skip this and go else where. -- Update after Reply from Old Road Wine Co: The staff refused to let us sit outside with the tasting / pairing. We were ONLY allowed to get a glass of wine. This was open air space, so no question of interference of smell. Just sheer lazy staff.

Hi Prashant Lamba, Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience with us. The wine tram stop is located at Old Road Wine Co and visitors can walk from there to Franschhoek Cellar in one or two minutes. At The Old Road Wine Co. we offer tastings until 6pm daily and you can sit inside and outside for the tastings and to eat. Wine tastings at Franschhoek Cellar generally take place inside the tasting room and we offer some tasting pairings to go with the wines. The main restaurant food is served outside or at the Platform which is indoor next to the tramline and this is done to avoid smells interfering with the tastings. We apologise that your welcome was not satisfactory and we will strive to improve both on this and the explanation of our offerings to avoid confusion going forward and we hope to welcome you back again soon.
