A bit of 100 year old Entrepothaven history. This used to be the Customs Department. Shovels brought goods in and out of the Entrepothaven. Inside=In: from the North Sea and further afield and from the Maas River, shovels brought exotic goods from Africa or South-East Asia or grain from the heart of the Netherlands. Everything had been brought by ship and the goods and grain had been unloaded and stored in the warehouses. Now you see luxury Entrepot flats, but back then they were department stores. Grain was stored in the silos high above you. This was then a living and working port full of activity. There were no yachts, but all kinds of boats and shovels going back and forth. To =) go outside, first Customs and then the Harbor Master had to give permission before the "door" opened and shovels could sail to the sea or on the Maas towards inland, Germany and Switzerland. So look around you in Restaurant Okay, close your eyes and imagine that it was 100 years ago, you were sitting in the Customs Department and heard the sounds of the sailors and cranes.
