So disappointed. Ocean Park in Brookswood used to be so good. Leo and Maria have owned it for forever and the quality of food and service had always been great. Many years ago, my father went there daily to eat and knew them quite well. Tonight, my 9 year old son and I went there for dinner. Granted, it is Father's day, but we arrived before the crazy rush and 2, MAYBE 3 tables had guests then. In the side that we were sitting, there was one server and a food runner. By the time we left, there were about 7 or 8 full tables, some of them with 6 or 8 people at them, the rest were 4 seaters...and still one server and one hostess/runner. The server got busy for sure, but like I said, we arrived before the rush. We were seated by the hostess/food runner and another table of four, who were on first name basis and affectionate with the staff, were sat around the same time (2 of the people at that table were seated as we were, and then another 2 joined). They were served first. The server eventually came to take our drink order, at minimum, ten mins after we sat down. We'd already looked over the menu and made a decision on our food by the time she actually arrived.

Our food didn't take long, but was very basic. A small cheese pizza and a beef souvlaki meal. I went back after ordering and asked for a side of garlic toast as well, and the server seemed annoyed. Food arrived. The cheese pizza looked like it was a frozen pizza or in the very least, a perfectly round, frozen crust....like perfectly round. It didn't taste great either. I can get better for $9 up the street at the local pizza joint. For $27, the 2 skewers of beef were tender and the rice pilaf was typical rice pilaf. I got 2/3 of 1/2 of a roasted lemon potato. Not even a full half...lol. I got 1/2 of a piece of pita cut into two and I got some Greek salad on the same plate. I'm pretty certain the dressing that was just heavily poured on top of the Greek salad was actually Caesar dressing and it was warm.

Once the server took our order (ten mins after arrival), she never came back, not even to ask if our food was ok. Eventually, I asked the food runner for take away boxes and asked our server in passing, for our bill. When the runner brought our boxes back, she very quickly said, "here's your bill, the machines at the front. Thanks," and walked away. No actual bother about or care put in....whatsoever. By that point, I was so annoyed and disappointed in the entire experience, that I left cash on the desk and walked out. Never again will I go back. I get that covid has made things tough for businesses, but both poor service and lame food are just too much for one visit.

My wife and I came here for our 2nd wedding anniversary after family members recommended this restaurant to us. We got there, were promptly seated and had our order taken not long after. The appetizers came out quickly and the food didn't take too long either. The wait staff knew what they were doing and we had excellent service. The food was delicious and we would highly recommend to anyone that they come try out Ocean Park Pizza & Steak House. The prices are good for the quality of food you are given and an overall great experience! 5 stars!
