Le chef est tout simplement hallucinant. La spécialité est le brisket de boeuf. C'est totalement délicieux. Il donne la recette et demande de mettre un commentaire. Chose promise chose dûe. J'ai fait la recette et j'ai retrouvé le bonheur sur mes papilles gustatives. À la maison, je n'ai juste pas la vue incroyable sur les Rocheuses.The chef is amazing. The speciality is the beef brisket. It's one of the best dishes I've had. And he gives you the recipe as long as you post a comment. That's my part of the deal. I did it at home and it's just as amazing as it was. The only difference missing at home is the view on the rockies.

I rarely leave negative reviews but I have never, ever experienced worse service than I did at Northern Lights Alpine Kitchen. We saw the bad reviews about the staff, but we did not believe how bad it was until we experienced it ourselves. There were two girls at the front who are in charge of seating the guests. They do it purely based on their personal biases and prejudices. My family and I made our reservation weeks in advance, but when we got there, we were told that the tables were "all booked" except for the one right next to the door. We politely asked for one of the several empty tables further inward, with a better view, but were told that they "had reservations for those" and would not even consider moving us. Note, more than half of these tables sat empty during the entire time we were there, and we even saw walk-ins be sat at those tables that we requested. We asked a few more times but the hostess had a truly awful attitude and refused to consider our request. What was even more unbelievable was that she proceeded to gossip and whisper to our waitress right in front of us. She didn't even bother to hide it. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior before. We were utterly shocked and appalled. The buffet itself was overpriced and disappointing. There was a hair in the salad but we just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Please believe the negative reviews, do not let your experience on the Banff Gondola be ruined by this so-called establishment. Save your money and just eat somewhere (anywhere) else instead.
