After seeing the numerous positive reviews about this place, we decided to try it out. We ordered via delivery online and I have to say, I’m extremely disappointed. For a portion of butter chicken, lamb vindaloo and naan on the side, the meal totalled at about R500. The food arrived rather swiftly however the portion size for the price is ridiculous, not to mention that it lacked the authentic taste of North Indian cuisine. The butter chicken was quite bland. The vindaloo had a tomato puree taste. Everyone raving about Gate of India probably hasn’t had authentic Indian food. Won’t be wasting my money again.
