The place has been extensively renovated, and it shows. Good outdoor seating under the olive trees. The staff was very friendly and helpful in meeting our needs. The pizza is good. There is still room for improvement and I have no doubt that this will happen very soon. Congratulations to all the staff, I will be back. If you are visiting Catania and you want to have dinner, Nero Montana is one of the best places for many reasons. It's a beautifully decorated place with a nice garden, soft Italian music plays in the background, and smiley staff helps you to choose from a variety of courses. Nero Montana has a pizza oven, so any kind of pizza is a must here but we chose bruschetta con pomodoro and fresh basilico, the olive oil was fresh and tasteful, risotto ai funghi, very delicious and stinco di maiale alla birra rossa, pork cooked with red beer. The meat was tender, and the portion had big size. We drank a bottle of syrah red wine, biological, Nero Montana. As you can see from the photos, everything was excellent. At the end of our dinner, the owner served as amaro, an excellent bitter liqueur as a digestif for free. Hopefully, we will visit Nero Montana on our next visit to Sicilia.
