The Nansen restaurant has moved into a former colonial warehouse with rustic furnishings in an industrial look. The tables are far enough apart to ensure the privacy of the guests. The Nansen restaurant advertises crossover cuisine. A week after it opened, we reserved a table for the early evening. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The staff was very helpful in choosing the dishes. We chose the winter samosa and the poppy seed dumplings with fennel. Both dishes were very tasty and we were very full. The service remained very courteous and friendly until the main course. By now all the tables were occupied. After that we were hardly noticed anymore. Neither the empty wine glasses were asked nor the forgotten side salad was brought. So I had to go to the counter myself to place an order. We hope it was due to the lack of routine and not us.
