Premier restaurant dès notre arrivée à Palerme. Accueil très amical et nourriture excellente. On s’est régalés et les plats sont originaux. Pas cher. Great Food, Warm Staff — But Disappointing Ending Ristorante Pizzeria Naïf could have been one of the best dining experiences I had in Palermo if not for the owner and insect in the red wine. The gnocchi was absolutely delicious— Gnocchi with tomato and mozzarella was pillowy soft and coated in a rich, flavorful sauce that truly stole the show. That dish alone made the visit worthwhile. We also had a fresh salad that was vibrant, crisp, and thoughtfully prepared—not the afterthought you sometimes get elsewhere. The Margherita pizza was also good, with a nicely balanced crust. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the waiter staff were genuinely kind and attentive throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the overall experience was dampened by a few issues that happened after the meal. After we paid our bill, we ordered two shots of limoncello as a digestivo—something that is often offered on the house in many Italian restaurants, especially after a full meal. Instead, we were surprised to see we were charged for two caffè amari, which we didn’t order. It felt a bit dishonest, especially since we were expecting a small gesture, not an upcharge from the owner! On top of that, the red wine we originally ordered had to be sent back due to several flies or mosquitoes—about six—in the glass. The staff handled the situation politely, but it was still an unpleasant surprise. In short: the food and the waiter service were great, but the actions of the owner and the final moments of our visit left a sour note on what could have been a perfect dining experience. È veramente molto strano il suo modo di pensare , dice che ha ordinato due limoncello e poi mi definisce disonesto perché le ho addebitato il costo di quanto da lei richiesto. Io non so quale siano le usanze bizzarre del suo paese, ma in Italia si paga quello che si consuma e disonesto è colui che non vuole pagare e ancora di più è disonesto è colui che prima dichiara che ha ordinato i limoncello e dopo che li ha consumati nega di averli ordinati e non li vorrebbe pagare.
