We had our family dinner (8 people) here and were initially told about the longer waiting time (that's why we get the only star for service), since it was Christmas Day...understandable, but the restaurant wasn't completely full that evening . Let's start with the positive features: - clean toilets (at least for the ladies) - beautiful interior, attention was paid to details -enough space to sit (there are additional seats towards the toilets) - Sweet potato fries surprisingly crispy and not too greasy - Maguro (tuna) very tender - Arrangement of sushi Now let's get to the negative points: - Owner/waitress very friendly to us (more on that in a moment)/service in general. - Noodle dishes (broken Udon) were overcooked - Rice from sushi was sometimes very dry - Salmon Nigiri partly good and partly not - vegetarian gyozas taste sticky/dry We sat at tables 19 and 20. The food for table 19 came "promptly" despite the long wait that had been announced. While we were already at round 4, table 20 didn't even get round 2 (only sushi). Only bits and pieces of grilled fish or two ebi tempura arrived. And yes, T19 also ordered sushi for the first rounds. After a good 1.5 hours later, two sushi plates for T20 finally arrived. While the sushi was being served, the waitress, who is also the owner, made a very cheeky and sappy comment: "You've already ordered a lot. You're on round 4. Don't think you can do it. You'll have to pay for it when you do "Can't do it? Looks like a lot.... You're already on round 4. In my experience, people stop at round 3." Without checking or knowing that T20 had received next to nothing so far or that only a grilled fish was ordered for round 3. We all found the way she told us that very cheeky, even condescending. Of course we knew that any leftover food would have to be paid for. Now that 7 people were full, one person always had to wait for his food because he doesn't eat sushi, but grilled/fried things. We told the waiters and the owner several times that we had been waiting for this and these dishes since round 1. The answer was “I’ll pass it on. Food will come immediately”. Until payment was made, potatoes came exactly once for each person. Of course it became less and less during the evening. The larger tables were gone and the restaurant became emptier. Nevertheless, a lot of dishes didn't find our table, despite notice. It's a shame... We don't recommend the restaurant. Criticism of Nagoya Sushi Shop Offenbach Unfortunately, our experience at the Nagoya Sushi Shop was anything but satisfactory. Here are the main points that disappointed us: -Unfriendly service: We had the impression that our concerns were not taken seriously. The staff seemed stressed and sometimes reacted disrespectfully to questions or complaints. -Not fresh or cold food: A majority of the dishes that were served were either not really warm or didn't taste fresh. Especially with sushi you expect high quality, which was unfortunately missing here. Disorganized Management: Operations seemed chaotic and there were long wait times even though the restaurant was not crowded. We were looking forward to a pleasant evening with delicious food, but instead we felt unappreciated as customers. Such experiences leave a bad aftertaste and reduce the desire to visit the restaurant again. We hope that management takes the criticism seriously and works on the points mentioned to provide future guests with a better experience. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
