There’s nothing quite like finding the perfect café to spend your cold self-care winter morning at. Where do I start? Well, the coffee of course. I am sort of a coffee snob, so I was pleased to find the best Café Latte in town, after swearing that some other long forgotten restaurant had the best. Sitting down in the corner at a lovely farmhouse-style table, I felt right at home, transported back to my childhood in my grandma’s house with the warmest biscuits and rusks. I was, however, disappointed that I could not open each and every pack of cakes, ginger biscuits and other delicacies. But perhaps that’s a personal issue of mine. I received my toasted cheese sandwich almost instantly, and it was the crispiest, warmest, cheesiest sandwich a hungry grocery shopper could ever have dreamed of. I asked myself, “how could one resist another cup?” and sure enough, it arrived more beautifully and tastier than the first one from just moments ago. It was the perfect way to start my day, and I will most definitely be back within a few weeks, if I can hold out for that long. One single note before I leave, I wished that there was a warm light in here somewhere to complete the vibe, but nothing could spoil the vibe of this café, not even the absence of the loveliest staff in Modimolle. Groggy, hungry and tired after a fun weekend in Three Rivers, we were just passing through and directed here by a cashier at Checkers after enquiring about a place in the mall that sells breakfast coffee on the go. The shop is located at one of the entrances and operates as a coffee shop but also sells a good selection of pastries and cakes. The shop assistant was very friendly and engaging, and even made my friend a special order of chocolate late, even though it is not on their menu. Well priced, good quality and neatly presented... we were all satisfied and cheerful again, well on our way, breakfast coffees in hand and back on the road. I would recommend this coffee shop any day, good coffee and great service! Service: Take out Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: R 1–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
