The Monkey Tree is my favourite place to go for anything on the Southern Island. The food and prices are excellent with lots of delicious flavours made in house. The atmosphere is amazing with a great social table right in the middle. Lots of awesome entertainment and daily specials. I could go on about the many reasons to go and enjoy this place but the #1 reason is the service. Service is extraordinary here! if you are lucky enough to get Jeremy you will be well taken care of. This guy should be nominated for awards. He goes above and beyond, especially for the regulars. Thanks guys. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Just had a fantastic experience at the Monkey Tree Pub in Victoria, a spot we'd surprisingly never tried despite being locals! It's a bit off the beaten path, but definitely worth the detour. Inside, it has that ideal, authentic pub feel – warm, unpretentious, and wonderfully comfortable with its decades-old decor, which lends it a relaxed, slightly 'tatty' charm. The service was standout: patient, smiling, and incredibly attentive without hovering; they made us feel genuinely welcome from arrival to departure. All our dishes were excellent, and the atmosphere was buzzing with happy patrons. This is a great place for a casual meal where you can truly unwind. Highly recommend making the effort to discover this inviting local hangout! Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
