Bad service. Passive agresive staff who are only out for profit. Not welcoming at all. I went into the Mombar bar with a friend of mine to have a good evening at my local bar. It was the first time I visited that bar as it only opened recently. We had high hopes for the bar, as it looks neat, aesthetic, and welcoming. The bar is quite popular and usually is nicely populated during the weekends. On some weekends they even have so many customers that they have people standing outside due to how full it is. They also occasionally host events! Customers would come in costumes! Our experience was a little different. On that day in particular, the bar was somewhat empty. As we entered the bar and looked at our options, we were quite surprised by the many drinks (manly cocktails) you could choose from. They even had a verity of snacks! As we ordered, we started to change out opinion of the bar. We weren't quite sure what to get and asked a few questions about some offers they had advertised on small whiteboards. The bartender, who I assume is the owner or manager of the bar served us. She was not very friendly and was always in a haste... Even though the bar wasn't busy... Apart from us there was one to two tables occupied. We were outraged by the service of the bartender, but still wanted to give the drinks and food a chance. We only had ourselves an Aperol Spritz and a Flammekueche. We weren't very fond about getting more drinks as the bar was already upsetting. The food and drink was pretty good. The Flammekueche was very big and definitely worth your money, and the Aperol was also satisfying. Overall this place was a nice local bar, their food and drinks are definitely on a good standard. Likewise most bars in Luxembourg city the standard of drinks and food in a bar is relatively high. Therefore my point of critique is always the service and treatment at these places. In Mombar we were treated disgustingly and I don't want to return. It's no fun...
