Mezzo, a stylish bar/bistro with a terrace on the edge of OutletCity Metzingen. In addition to the “edible paper” with a reduced selection of burgers and currywurst, among other things, the menu from the Schwanen restaurant is also served. It all comes from the same kitchen! O.K., prices are currently rising everywhere. In addition to two different soups, we also ordered an onion roast and a cordon bleu, each of which currently costs €37. That's quite proud. If the performance of what is offered is right. However, in our opinion, what has happened must be described as “ordinary”. Both in terms of the language on the plate, the quantity and the taste. Not really something that would justify the price, even in the current times and not in this situation. The soups have neither a hip nor croutons or any other appealing topping. In addition to meat and a few side dishes, only an absolutely minimalist salad garnish (one leaf + half a cocktail tomato). In terms of quality, the products were quite okay. But not spectacular, as one might expect for the price asked, but simply, simply “ordinary”. Not even a side salad is offered for the asking price. But for a change of supplements you allow yourself to charge an outrageous (yes, that's what you have to call it) €2, which then has no relation to the quantity. Yes, it's at the bottom of the menu! But that doesn't really make the whole thing any better In the end it was just under €110 for 2 soups, 2 meals without a side salad and 2 juice spritzers, which ended up being on the bill. Sorry, something doesn't fit at all!!! We actually wanted to celebrate my wife's big birthday in the attached restaurant. We'll refrain from doing that now!
