A Joke, a wasted trip. I visited in fall, the off season so that may a difference. At the time this place had a perfect 5.0 rating so I figured I MUST check it out. But they have not even invested in a basic espresso machine, and offered a pod espresso. And barely any pastries were available and nothing special. This guy obviously paid some web designer to game the system for his 5.0 rating. I walked out when they found their pod machine wasn’t working!

This morning when you walked into the shop, we had literally been open for just 5 minutes. I believe it was quite clear from the fact that we weren’t yet wearing our uniforms and that the bicycle we usually place outside as decoration was still in the middle of the room. The shop was practically empty because today was our first day back after the holidays. Just as you take holidays, so do we. Today we were open mainly for order pick-ups and to start producing our pastries again.First of all, we are not a bar. Nowhere will you see the word “bar.” We do offer customers a small coffee corner, but as our name clearly states, we are a pastry lab. We do not have a bar license, and there is a reason why we don’t have the classic bar-style coffee machine: it’s due to the license we have for our business. We choose to invest in the products we make artisanally. The coffee we serve is Nespresso—quality coffee even though it comes in pods, and better than what you might find in certain bars. The machine had just jammed, and it only took two minutes to fix it. All it required was a little patience—something you unfortunately didn’t show.I would also like to point out that the only thing this person has ever “paid for” is the Italian Chef Academy in Rome, which allowed me to learn the art of pastry-making and to acquire as much knowledge as possible in this craft. Our rating is based on reviews from customers who have tried and appreciated our products, not from some imaginary web designer.If you had any doubts, questions, or needed clarifications about our business, you could have simply asked instead of leaving right after the coffees had already been prepared, without paying, and then writing a review that is neither useful to us nor to future customers.Buonasera Marcus, stamattina quando siete entrati in negozio avevamo aperto da letteralmente 5 minuti, credo lo si potesse chiaramente notare dal fatto che non avevamo ancora addosso la nostra divisa e che al centro della stanza c’era ancora la bici che usiamo come decorazione all’esterno del locale. Il negozio era praticamente vuoto perché abbiamo riaperto oggi dalle ferie, come voi andate in ferie anche noi andiamo in ferie ed oggi eravamo aperti per i ritiri degli ordini e per tornare a produrre i nostri dolci. Partiamo dal presupposto che non siamo un bar, non troverete da nessuna parte la scritta “bar”; diamo la possibilità al cliente di avere un piccolo angolo caffetteria ma come dice il nostro nome noi siamo un “pastry lab”, non abbiamo la licenza da bar e c’è un motivo se non abbiamo la classica macchinetta da bar, è un motivo dovuto alla licenza che abbiamo per il nostro locale, noi investiamo, investiamo nei prodotti che produciamo artigianalmente. Il caffè che usiamo è caffè nespresso, un caffè di qualità pur essendo in cialde, migliore di certi caffè che si possono trovare in alcuni bar. La macchinetta del caffè si era inceppata, sono bastati due minuti per farla ripartire, sarebbe bastato avere un minimo di pazienza, cosa che lei non ha avuto.Ci tengo a sottolineare che l’unica cosa che ha pagato questo tizio è l’italian chef academy di Roma affinché potessi imparare l’arte della pasticceria e apprendere più cose possibili da questo mestiere. Questo rating è dovuto alle recensioni di clienti che hanno provato e apprezzato i nostri prodotti, non a qualche fantomatico web designer. Se aveva dubbi, domande o bisogno di delucidazioni riguardo la nostra attività poteva tranquillamente chiedere invece di andare via dopo che i caffè erano già stati fatti e senza pagare anziché scrivere questa recensione poco utile sia a noi che a futuri clienti.
