The Mathilda is a welcoming vegan inn in the heart of Neuhausen. It is run by the same operator who also runs the popular Gorilla Bar down the street. The Mathilda offers a spacious and cozy space that invites you to eat, drink and chat. Occasionally special events such as pub quizzes, concerts or stand-up comedy evenings take place. An area with bar tables is ideal for larger groups and birthday parties. The menu is diverse and combines Bavarian cuisine with influences from neighboring European countries as well as international cuisine. The dishes are so tasty and the portions are filling. The pricing of the starters leaves me a bit perplexed. Because despite the completely different effort involved, they all cost almost the same. Unfortunately, a small drawback is that after a visit you smell more strongly of food and the air is sometimes a bit stuffy because the ventilation in the rooms doesn't seem to work optimally. It would be nice if this could be improved in the future. All in all, the Mathilda is a top address in Neuhausen and worth a visit.
