I was traveling through Rome, searching on the internet I found on a blog that Materia Café is a good place to telework and eat delicious food. The truth is that everything could have been perfect, up to certain points of improvement. But I still leave them a high rating. I think they are just points for improvement. When we arrived it was quite full, and understandably it is nice, good and excellent prices. However, I took the available table, not knowing that I had to position myself at the coworking table if I was going to work. I was really going with the perspective of eating and having a coffee. The two girls at the bar are sweet and have a nice disposition. But the girl who came to announce that I had to move to the coworking table because I was working on a laptop was slightly annoyed. Because I told him that because they had to move me from the table, after having ordered an Avocado Toast with Chicken, 2 Latte Coffees and 1 Lemonade. He was already sitting down ready to eat. Obviously I didn't want to move around with a laptop connected, my work items, and also food and drinks. The point for improvement could be: when you arrive, ask: are you going to work with your laptop or not? And tell the client to move. You just go to the counter, order and have to get situated. They didn't guide me when I arrived. This would have improved my experience, I understand that I got a table of 3 or 4 people. But the table was available without telling me this. In short, indicating upon arrival can improve the user experience and avoid stress. Also little balance because other people with laptops did not move them to the coworking table. But I understand that perhaps I was the only case for having taken the table of 4. On the other hand, it was not that I ordered a coffee and stayed working without consuming, blocking the table and the consumption of other customers. Then they sent someone else, not letting me finish my lemonade because of another attempt to move. While I was about to order more consumption for my lunch. However, the atmosphere was already tense, so I decided not to choose to consume my lunch. Since the 2 lattes, the lemonade and the avocado toast with chicken, totaled €20, I think the bill with the lunch and drink would have closed maybe €45/€50. High expectations for this blog where they recommend coffee to work. I think they do go, because it is nice and rich. Ask about the tables and don't try to move your food and drinks on the table and your work accessories. It's obviously uncomfortable. They penalize and discourage clients from continuing to consume. Generally good, but since no one guided me before entering it is difficult to guess the rules of the cafe. And I don't think it was that I stayed 3 hours and had just one coffee. It lasted a long 40 minutes and I consumed several things with the possibility of lunch, which made me unwell due to so much tension. If the owner was the first to tell me to move tables, I recommend an experience design course or something like that, to improve these pain points. Luckily the girls at the show were friendly, otherwise it would have been a bad experience. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
