Being hosted instead of just being served! Short autumn days can be challenging for travelers like us. Not familiar with cocktailing from 5 to 8 pm while waiting for dinner we felt a bit lost that afternoon. Stranded in this great neighborhood we ended up at Mated Cocktail Bar. Finding out about their variety of “regional snacks” we were saved in a great way. Starting with an unavoidable vermouth-cocktail we shifted to a great Arneis and ended with a great grappa all accompanied by a nice selection of Taglieri. As mentioned by others – a warm welcome and friendly service does not require an extra step and still makes all the difference! No restaurant that day for us!
