Tres bon accueil et bon service. J'ai commande une soupe a l'oignon en ligne et je suis allee la chercher. C'etait tres rapide et la soupe etait delicieuse d'apres mon pere. Je recommande vivement la place.

Tout était très bon, de l'entrée au dessert. Un petit peu déçu de la taille de l'accompagnement du saumon pour le prix cependant.

We have been at Maison Selby before for our respective birthdays and it was a lovely experience. However, our experience yesterday started off terribly and it stayed with me the entire dinner. To start with, we had an early reservation of 5pm. We live in the West End of Toronto so on a good subway ride it would take us 45 mins to reach the establishment. We encountered an issue where the subway stopped due to an emergency at Runnymede Station. We left to take an uber so that we would make the reservation still. I called the restaurant at 4:45 pm to let them know that we were running 15-20 mins later than we had planned. The person who answered the hostess line was a gentleman who did not sound impress. Even after stating that this was out of my hands and that we were trying our best to still make the reservation, he was quite unkind and was sounding rather put off, going as far as telling us that they will move our reserved seats to somewhere else to accommodate. That was fine with us, I guess it was part of the consequences of being late. When we got there the same person, who happens to be the assistant manager named Kevin, assisted us to get to our seating area. After seating us without waiting for us to actually sit down he proceeded to tell us in a very huffy way, that we need to eat fast and that the table was reserved for someone else after and we needed to get out as fast as possible. My husband and I decided not to make a scene and to allow that moment to unfold. Luckily, we had a super nice and sweet server named Michaela L who made the experience so much better. It’s too bad that the assistant manager couldn’t do that. He sat us where the cutlery was located and it felt like punishment, even though there were 2 other tables for 2 within the vicinity. One of the tables didn’t even sit anyone until it was 6:00 pm. I got hit three times by the servers who needed access to the area. I’m flabbergasted about the treatment that we received from someone who is supposedly a leader and management. The food was fantastic but the welcome was terrible and stayed with me the entire time we were eating. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+
