The service was good. But we had asked if possible to order a flatbread from the "lower patio" menu that one of our daughters thought sounded really good. Since we were sitting on the "upper patio" we were told we could not order that. This was not a deal breaker by any means, and we would know for next time.
The food was hit and miss. The soup of the day (ginger, carrot and orange) was interesting but too sweet for my wife. The kids meals were good. Their take on ceasar salad was interesting and my wife liked it, although wishes there was more to eat.
My issue was with the steak. I ordered a 12oz rib eye medium rare. Given the $32 price point, I was expecting a thick properly cooked steak. It was not. Because it was at most 1/2" thick, it came over cooked, I suspect it was it was difficult to keep that size of steak from over cooking. It reminded me of a steak that you would receive at a breakfast restaurant when you ordered "steak and eggs". It was not terrible by any means, but was not a $32 rib-eye. It was a $15 steak.
Overall, and based on one visit only, we would not recommend this restaurant. We will give it another try some day, but if you are in Georgetown and looking for a good steak, The Cellar is a better choice in our opinion.
