Went there for a simple Macha cappuccino! Ended up getting a Macha Latte with almond milk that was really good.

The space is amazing, super girly and Instagrammable. The staff is nice as well!

Sono stata al Macha Cafe', pochi giorni dopo l' apertura, per una colazione in stile giapponese. Il locale pur essendo molto piccolo e' grazioso ed entrando si respira un' atmosfera rilassante. L 'arredamento e' minimalista, dai colori delicati, tra tavolini in legno e pareti verdine, mensole con tanti piccoli oggettini che riprendono la cultura nipponica, e qualche vasetto di bonsai. All' apertura si trovavono soprattutto proposte indicate per la colazione, dal matcha cold al cappuccino al matcha con latte di mandorla, yogurt al matcha e frutti di bosco, caffè matcha da accompagnare al matcha muffin, matcha cheesecake e biscottini vari. Ora nel menù potete trovare anche proposte salate per una pausa pranzo o per il brunch della domenica: bowls di riso, avocado toast, avocado burger, sushi in versione classica, vegetariana e vegana. Ho già assaggiato: latte matcha, matcha cheesecake, matcha cappuccino con latte di mandorla, yogurt al matcha e frutti di bosco e biscottini matcha in omaggio. Presto tornerò ad assaggiare anche qualcosa di salato. Se siete filo - giapponesi, vi consiglio di passare al Macha cafe'.

There’s more to Japanese cuisine than just sushi, and Macha Japanese Café in the heart of Milan, proves that. Serving drinks and traditional café fair, Macha mixes the love of matcha tea with a creative attention to detail that delivers tasty, balanced flavors reminiscent of traditional Japanese influences.

The atmosphere is so calm, soothing and refreshing, with a palette of soft accent colors throughout the interior. It’s incredibly inviting, which is only emphasized by the service. Everyone there knows a great deal about what they are serving, and are more than happy to accommodate you in anything that you need.

I stopped in for a little bite, having seen many posts of the place on Instagram. I opted firstly for the Avocado burger, a rich and creamy take on the traditional burger we’re all used to. I then ordered the MACHA pancakes, which were stacked with smoked salmon, cream cheese and perfectly fried egg.

Upon my second visit the sweet spot was where I further delighted my taste buds, as I enjoyed a piece of MACHA cheesecake, dotted with a ripe raspberry garnish, and was light and airy, yet rich in flavor. The MACHA cake and MACHA Muffin were baked to perfection, loaded with delicate flavor and definitely something worth coming back for. The MACHA gelato was a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth consistency, that was a refreshing end to a delicious meal. I also enjoyed a MACHA soy latte, which is one of the best I’ve ever had.

I’m really happy that MACHA has been established, as it fills a culinary void I never even knew I was missing. However, now that I do, I’m hooked, and MACHA is the place to go for an out of the box take of Japanese café dining. Delicious!
