My lunch experience at Lupa yesterday (01/08/24)was definitely not my usual warm Lupa moments. Been eating there for years and have made connections with some of the waitresses. There used to be a very friendly Indian lady but now with just Shaun the place has become a bit shabby. The food is not tasty anymore. He always seems offish even on a good day and always doesn’t know you even though you’ve been going there forever. He made us feel like strangers to the place with no budget for their lunch specials. My chicken was the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. Even KFC was better than that. All I can say is I wish we had gone to Mad Italian as we had planned as my daughter was craving a yummy Alfredo. I recently had the pleasure of attending a staff function at Lupa Osteria Durban North, and I must say that the experience left me thoroughly impressed. Not only were the meals delicious and wholesome, but the portions were also generous enough to be shared between two people. One of the highlights of my dining experience was undoubtedly the breadsticks. They were perfectly baked, with a crispy exterior and a soft, warm center. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. Paired with their hummus, it was an absolute delight for my taste buds. In fact, I can confidently say that it was the best hummus I have ever eaten. The menu at Lupa Osteria offers a wide variety of options to cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.
