What can I say. Excellent. Stop! Excellent in the quality of the food, in the preparation, in the presentation and in the speed of service but also in the wines. The cost adapts to the quality. Worth trying and coming back. Great hospitality, fantastic food. I have been there twice, and loved both meals. My only complaint? I am not sure I have enough time left in Rome to try everything on the menu! Fortunately, Chef Carlo is there to suggest something interesting and pair it with a wonderful wine. Whether you are looking for a fine meal with the family, or to celebrate a special occasion, l'Oste e la Civetta should be at the top of the list. The menu is in Italian, but Chef Carlo and all the staff we interacted with were all fluent in English, and will patiently walk you through the menu. Enjoy!
