I respond, for the last time, to the message of the owner of the "Lo Scellerato" restaurant, who is not resigned to the truth of the facts represented by the customer twice, with the following writings. I reiterate that the waiter did not show any menu with the prices, nor was there any menu in the restaurant. Furthermore, the cuttlefish the owner mentioned were just two and even small. This means that they were paid 10 euros each, while the frying was 20 euros: the reality is that these prices are exorbitant, never found in other places, both in Manfredonia and elsewhere. In case the owner had any doubts about what was said, I keep the piece of paper handwritten by the waiter with the indication of a fry at the price of 40 euros. I do not respond to further messages from the owner. Generally in small trattorias the prices are reasonable, but this was not the case at the Scellerato. We trusted ourselves in ordering without asking for the list of dishes with their prices and in the end came the surprise of the salty bill: a water, two first courses and a fried fish with only two fairly small cuttlefish at a cost of 74 euros, then discounted to 70 euros. The piece of paper handwritten by the waiter indicating the dishes served bore, under the heading fry, nothing less than the price of 40 euros: decidedly excessive for a fry. Very negative experience. A place not to be recommended to anyone. In relation to the previous text, to which the owner responds with a message from 3 days ago, I specify the following. The fact that the munu was made available to the customer with the price list of the dishes is absolutely false. From a comparison with other local restaurants, the price of the fried food you served was found to be excessive. In Manfredonia I ate in a restaurant (known to most people and I will recommend it to anyone) spending only 40 euros for a complete meal based on freshly caught fish: more precisely, an appetizer with several courses of cooked and raw fish, two tastings of first course dish (but in reality it was a normal portion), a second course, a sorbet, wine and water.
