It was the summer of 2000 when, young and carefree, I crossed the threshold of Lido San Felice in Montepaone Lido for the first time. At the time, that brick structure, typical of bathrooms created in the midst of the economic boom, exuded a retro charm that already seemed out of date. The historic jukebox, a musical totem in an era of CDs and emerging MP3s, was the beating heart of those afternoons at the seaside, with the notes of old hits mixing with the scent of salt. Back then, Lido San Felice was my refuge, a corner of tranquility where time seemed to pass more slowly. Today, more than twenty years later, Lido San Felice has managed to keep its original spirit intact, without distorting itself. That slightly retro charm that in 2000 seemed out of fashion, today evokes distant, almost Greek atmospheres, offering a timeless experience that conquers anyone lucky enough to visit it. But the real surprise comes when you sit at the table. The Lido San Felice restaurant is a triumph of authentic flavours, in which the quality of the fish is the undisputed protagonist. Every bite tells of the freshness of the sea, with fish that seem to have just come out of the nets.
