Très belle expérience dans ce restaurant très agréable ! Coquillages excellents ! Choucroutes de la mer incroyables ! Grand gentillesse du personnel ! We recently visited the restaurant for its hidden Speakeasy bar. Here is our experience at the bar not the restaurant: Positive points: When we arrived, the two ladies at reception were lovely and very friendly. They explained to us that the bar was accessible via the restaurant or a door at the back with an escape game, which is original. The bar, once inside, is cozy and not too noisy, with very few people that evening. The cocktails were okay, although not memorable. Negative points: The welcome at the bar was awkward from the start. The bartender asked us if we had eaten at the restaurant upstairs or if we knew anyone who would have "allowed" us to go through the front of the restaurant. This made us uncomfortable, especially since you had gone through the main entrance door, after asking the two people at reception. The bartender's conversation with his friends, right next to us, was particularly inappropriate. He mentioned openly, and with a condescending tone, that the bar should not be accessible to "just anyone" that it was mainly for the customers of the gastro upstairs. "This remark, which seemed to be aimed at us, was extremely unpleasant and made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. A very strong smell of sweat was pervasive in the bar, particularly at the entrance, which did not help to improve the experience. Special mention: despite an attempt at polite service, the bartender was unable to create a warm welcome and his double shake was unconvincing (word from a connoisseur ). In summary, we will not return, despite the very warm welcome from the ladies at the entrance. The bar has potential thanks to its cozy atmosphere, but the overall experience, marked by a disrespectful welcome and a heavy atmosphere, does not make you want to repeat the experience.
