Our waiter greeted us with the information that Le Petit Royal in Frankfurt wanted to position itself as even better than the Grill Royal in Berlin. Unfortunately, this expectation remained unfulfilled for us. The restaurant is pleasantly furnished, the atmosphere is cozy and tastefully decorated with selected art pieces. However, the quality of the food was only between 3 and 4 stars in this price range. Some dishes could have been presented more attractively, such as the ceviche, the red prawns and the crepe Suzette. The presentation of the Crêpe Suzette was disappointing as it was floating completely flat in a lot of sauce, which made it visually unappetizing. We were particularly disappointed with the wine advice. Instead of informing us about the aromas and characters of the wines, we were repeatedly asked about our budget for the bottle. Despite our advice about which flavors and styles we preferred, the advice was limited purely to price. Ultimately, we chose the grape variety ourselves (without a specific price in advance), and the bottle was served to us with the words: 'This is the cheapest one I could find!' – a disappointing experience for a restaurant of this class. Outstanding! If you know anything about good food, you should go to the Petit Royal. Despite the large number of guests, the food was served quickly, with precision and ease. No wish was left unfulfilled, the gentleman at the next table was even given a selection of glasses because he had forgotten his - *unique service*. Also thanks to the kitchen for a culinary feast. My personal highlight at the end were the homemade chocolates. The ambience is extremely pleasant with a good eye for art. We'd love to come by again. A mixed experience at Le Petit Royal Frankfurt. We tried the restaurant for a business lunch and were surprised by how light the restaurant was - only four tables were occupied. One might assume that this would ensure attentive service, but unfortunately our expectations were not met. The menu presented itself as solid, if a bit meat-heavy. We chose ceviche as a starter and filet mignon as our main course. The ceviche was a bit disappointing in terms of taste as it lacked the expected Peruvian spiciness. The filet mignon, on the other hand, was exquisitely prepared and tasted impressive. The real drawback was the service. For a higher priced restaurant, we were disappointed by the lack of etiquette and apparent ignorance of their own menu. The main courses were served before fresh plates were available. No attention was paid to whether our glasses were empty and the serving of the food did not seem very professional. Despite these shortcomings, our visit was acceptable, however the experience is not enough to make Le Petit Royal Frankfurt a place we would visit again in the near future.
