The restaurant is the perfect location, the food is wonderful, the service by Laurence exceptional. What else would you want when traveling via Leshuttle back to the UK. It's 5 Stars from me Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Just outside Calais near the Auchan hypermarket and also near a few budget hotels. 1 minute across the road from B&B Hotel. Not so long ago it was called Poivre Rouge. It's been completely revamped and is now quite a stylish but not "high end" eatery. There's something there for everybody, Pizzas, steaks, burgers, salads, but nothing too complicated. The chacuterie sharing board starter was amazing value and with no odd French "delicacies". My pork ribs with frites & salad was good and very substantial, my wife enjoyed her pizza. Wines are very reasonably priced and a decent selection of continental beers. A 50cl pitcher of drinkable Rosé was Euro 8.50 but there are better quality wines by the glass and bottle. This is not Michelin star dining. But it's a big step up from fast food fare, and sensibly priced. Starter, two main courses, two beers, a pitcher of wine, Euro 65.00. I'd absolutely go back.
