We apologize for the waiting time you had to “endure” on this sunny Sunday. The good attendance at our establishment today caused us to make some organizational adjustments. We always serve our croques accompanied by a small salad, and, unless I am mistaken, upon verification, this was the case today. Here, since our opening, is our very first review with just 1 star. It would probably have been simpler and more coherent to discuss it in person with our charming student, who does her best to satisfy our customers and to whom you made no comments. You must have obviously realized this later to make such a comment, hidden behind your nickname. Despite your suggestion, we will nevertheless not be “ashamed” of it. All our customers come to have a nice time on our beautiful terrace, and don't look away for a few minutes, certainly on a Sunday. Regarding the contents of a croque-Monsieur, after checking my recipe books, it appears that it is usually made up of 2 slices of bread, a slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese. At a selling price of 8.5 euros including tax, it would be difficult for us to include Bayonne ham or scampi. We are sincerely sorry that you are expecting a Gourmet or Michelin-starred Croque. Taking into account that the vast majority of reviews of our establishment are very positive, we hope that your personal bad feelings will not have prevented you from having a pleasant end to your pre-fall weekend.
