Despite the crowds, we were impressed by the turnaround—our food was ready in less than ten minutes, which is stellar speed for such a popular destination. The Pizza: Functional, But Nothing to Write Home About The main offering, the pizza al taglio (pizza by the slice), was just okay—not bad, but certainly not spectacular. It’s a very basic, no-frills example of the style. The crust achieved a good crunch, but it lacked the desirable airy, fluffy interior that elevates great Roman slice pizza.
